
HISTORY OF ARWWA
Assam Rifles Wives Welfare Association (ARWWA) is a voluntary organisation committed to the welfare of serving and retired AR personnel through their families and widows. ARWWA was created as a formal body and has been registered with the Registrar of Societies, Meghalaya, Shillong vide Registration No E.16(Rs)8/2005/122 dt 25 May 2005.

ARWWA is on a mission to create empathetic communities of women who are rooted in their being, firmly committed to providing emotional and mental support to their families and one another, thereby strengthening the entire force- Assam Rifles, with their resilience.

This can only be possible if we, as members of ARWWA, devote our work towards creating deep human bonds, unwavering ‘faith’ towards each other, and ‘hope’ that strengthens our grit and tenacity in times of strife and struggle.

At the Assam Rifles Wives Welfare Association (ARWWA), our mission is to empower families by fostering knowledge, skills and a sense of community. We are committed to enhance awareness across crucial aspects of life – education, health, financial literacy, family values, special needs care, cyber security, and other emerging issues that impact our community.
